CDN recognises International Day of Radiology
Nov
8

CDN is supporting and recognising International Day of Radiology, which is held on November 8.
This day marks the 123rd anniversary of the 1895 discovery of the X-ray by German physicist Wilhelm Röntgen.
This year the day is dedicated to cardiac imaging and the increasingly important role of radiologists in cardiac care, contributing to the diagnosis, pre-procedural work-up and follow-up of patients with a wide variety of cardiac pathology, from coronary artery disease and leaky heart valves to defects in the size and shape of the heart.
The International Day of Radiology aims to build greater awareness of the value that radiology research, diagnosis and treatment contribute to safe patient care, and better understanding of the vital role radiologists perform in healthcare delivery.
CDN supports and gives recognition to the contributions radiology has made to patient healthcare delivery and safety.
